PHOENIXVILLE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE )--SEH Computertechnik introduces the utnserver ProMAX, a new USB device server that features modern consumer electronics design and comprehensive technical innovations.
The utnserver ProMAX includes advanced power management capabilities. Four USB 3.2 Gen1 (one USB C and three USB A) ports can be activated or deactivated to conserve power and also to decrease security risks. Users can also make up to 12 USB ports available by using the utnserver ProMAX with a USB hub.
The utnserver ProMAX works seamlessly with external hard disks or dongles, card readers, barcode scanners, and digital measuring tools. Its isochronous mode also enables using camera systems over the network with stable, two-way data transmission.
Additionally, the device server has a data transfer rate of up to 192 MB/s (read) and 126 MB/s (write), which makes backup systems that require high throughput, like RDX drives, available to remote workers via the network.

Furthermore, the utnserver ProMAX’s monitoring and logging functions automatically document all operations performed on the device server or perform time-controlled documentation, including time and date information. Data is stored on the device and can be automatically transferred to a syslog-ng or WebDAV server.
“This is where utnserver ProMAX really delivers. Data backups can be restored via USB SuperSpeed port, so ransomware attempts with encrypted ‘inventory data’ remain ineffective.” Majewski explains.
